Bozell’s News Column — 09/04/2007 — Tom Delay vs. Matt Lauer — Media Research Center

On Tuesday, NBC’s “Today” show had opened with Matt Lauer asking: “Can the right wing withstand yet another scandal involving one of its own?” (Try imagining Matt Lauer, or any other network journalist out there, asking if “the left wing” could withstand yet another scandal after the breaking news of any one of the endless scandals revolving around Bill and Hillary Clinton.) Ann Curry chimed in wondering “how does this specter of hypocrisy affect the Party?”

The “Today” show came knocking, looking for GOP interviewees for Thursday morning. Most Republicans locked and bolted their doors. Tom DeLay agreed – and came out fighting…..

…..A few more confrontations like this, and the double-standard will end.

Water MarkIt is harder today then ever to find a news source that is NOT leaning to the right or left.  Where are the true news stories?  Why can’t they just give us the news and let us decide?

I get tired of hearing the same half truths over and over knowing full well that sooner or later, the cool-aid drinkers are going to start taking it as the truth.

I do not listen to NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC or PBS because they lean.   I don’t care which way they are leaning, they should not be LEANING at all when it comes to the straight news.

Republican Debate 9-5-2007

debate.jpgDid you see (or hear) the Republican Debate last night? I did and I was both happy and shocked at what I heard.

Is there a problem with Ron Paul? Has he lost his mind?

I understood him to say that the best foreign policy the American Government can have is NO foreign policy. He wants to bring ALL American service people home from all over the world and guard just our borders here.
Well, Mr. Paul, if we were to take your stance on foreign policy, we would be forced to defend our borders because I guarantee, it would not be long before the rest of the world would crumble and the enemy will be knocking at our door here.

Overall, I found Mike Huckabee to be the winner in this debate. Being charismatic, humble and staunch, I think Huckabee out did the rest.

I am still in the camp that feels Fred Thompson is the best man for the job of President of the United States.
